I am the director of a fire performance troupe in the US and we perform with staffs, batons, fans of every size, swords, torches, balance fire bowls...you name it. We never thought of anything so simple that makes such a wonderful instrument to perform with. We are using fans and poi around the orb dancer, and still the orb seems to have a magical, trance like quality as you watch it. Firemystics love it.

I chose this fire orb as my first fire toy, and I know I made the right decision. Many of my friends have the sliding fire orb, but I wanted something that would be more stable since I'm still very much a novice fire performer. I felt very secure and confident with this orb. It burns brightly and I was able to move very freely with it. I would definitely recommend this orb from people who are just starting out with fire, to advanced fire performers.
Zip Orb vs Orb

The Firemystics used the Orb for the first time in a performance on Februrary 16th, and we were very happy with it. The effect is totally different than other fire instruments...and as I commented before, it hypnotized the crowd. We had used meteors, poi, fire swords, fire hip belts, torches, a variety of large fans..and after all that excitement, we ended with a beautiful mysterious illusion, provided by the Orb. So we ordered the Zip Orb. How surprised we were to find that you can do even more interesting things with it. Its totally worth having both of them. We plan on buying several more pair for our next gig. Keep those unusual and interesting fire instruments coming....the Firemystics are enjoying them very much!
